Artist Statement

My work focuses on jewelry, sculpture and digital art using the advances of modern technology in combination with traditional ways of making art to create new possibilities for unique pieces. My Quechua culture is my inspiration expressed in my design with a focus on sharing my people’s worldview and addressing a critical point of view from my Indigenous perspective. My artistic voice shares the beauty of my culture as well as challenges we face, the consequences of colonization, and solutions towards our collective future. Inspired by sacred geometry of Andean Cosmovision, my work speaks of expansion and contraction, as the breath of life, of reciprocity, transmitting rhythmical vibration through pattern.
